DKI Jakarta Provincial Government initiated a free internet program called JAKWIFI. This program will target areas that are not covered by free internet services in 5 regions and 1 administrative district in DKI Jakarta. The provision of this free internet service is also focused on residential areas for residents.
JAKWIFI's presence is not only for education, but also part of providing city infrastructure and expanding internet access for community needs covering many sectors, from education, economy or business, government services, and citizen communications.
The launch of JAKWIFI was marked by the signing of a collaboration between Bali Tower and the Telecommunications Network Operators Association (APJATEL).
